his. Staring deep into her eyes, passion nearly dripping from his, he 
said it again, "You've got to keep the faith."

She wiped a tear from her cheek with her gloved hand. Her eyes, swollen 
and red, were ready to let a few more escape. "I'll try" she mumbled 
through a sniff.

The reverend released her and turned to walk away. "Reverend," she 
called after him. He stopped and turned to face her again.

"Yes?"

"You've got egg on your jacket."

"That's not egg, dear. That's honey."
