Cheryl Hoover passed away yesterday after complications from multiple 
strokes.  With Sly's OK, I'm forwarding the following sequence of posts:

After slipping into a coma yesterday, Cheryl passed away today.  I  was/am 
going to make a post but right now I'm at a loss for words.

Thanks Linda, I'd appreciate it.  The last couple weeks and especially 
this week, have been surreal to say the least.  After the 1st couple days 
it was clear this was probably for the best.  We hiked/traveled/saw and 
enjoyed life too much for her to suffer the debilitating effects of a 
stroke.  It was doubtful she'd ever be normal again, but either bed ridden, 
crippled or/and hospitalized for years to come.  I know I  wouldn't want to 
live that way  and I'm sure neither would she.

	Well, what can I say.  The hiking community now has another 
angel up there looking after us.  I'll sure gonna miss Cheryl.
