I kind of thought that the "Barefoot Sisters" were the first to hike the whole trail barefoot? Although, I do seem to recall that they wore sandals for awhile, down south closer to Springer maybe? Maybe around GSMNP, because of snow?? Waterfall(Nina), can you help me out here?
