       TXU corporation of Dallas intends to develop 9,000 megawatts of 
coal-fired electricity plants in the near future in Texas. It also intends to add 
14,000 megawatts of coal plants in other states. Their only concession to global 
warming was leaving open areas in these plants for "potential future CO2 
removal technology." This move is expected to make its stock rise and be highly 
profitable.

        

            Times called this "Global Warming brinksmanship". (Sort of like 
holding a gun to a baby's head is "brinksmanship" I guess...)
