For those of us who actually engage in the activity, spelunking (although
technically correct) is considered a bad word. We call ourselves "cavers".

 

Like the bumper sticker says:

Cavers RESCUE spelunkers

 

There are quite a few caves along the A.T. corridor, though.

(There's one UNDER Clingman's Dome...the actual dome)
