  I agree with Dawg...
  There are some things that you have to carry, even when people mock you 
  about them. I carried a small stuffed dog, with small built in batteries that
  allowed it to bark. People kidded me about it & bet that I would ditch it...
  Until they saw me in Maine & I still had it. My trailjournals pictures include 
  one of the dog on top of Katahdin drinking champagne..... I still take him 
  hiking with me.
