[at-l] A short note on the climate change thread

Hi blokes,

I'm writing from the UK, while visiting my son.  Just want to say that much
discussion in the scientific community continues on this subject.  There is
no agreement on the causes of the gradual increases that are being observed.
The ice core records that are being pulled show the patterns, and we need to
be concerned.  It isn't all politics.  We can debate the issue here, but,
unless we can convince the American auto industry to get us off oil
dependency, and, if some significant life changes / expectancies are not
made, we're on a slippery slope. IMO.  

Meanwhile, I need to change over to my snow tyres when I get back to
Vermont.
