Gary,

Just missed you! I bicycled from Muscatine, IA starting on the 14h
of August and pedaled into New Orleans on Friday the 1st of
September. I'd like to know what motel you stayed in Port Gibson...I
stayed there also.
I took a tour of the damaged areas in New Orleans and the guide said
that 65% of the area was still without power and they has hauled off
300,000 vehicles. The most amazing thing to me is there are no
functioning hospitals in the area. All are going to be torn down and
rebuilt due to mold contamination issues.
Truly amazing, thats all I can say. NO is still not back to full
strength in terms of tourist yet so it was nice to be there with not
so many people, even if the weekend I was it was their annual gay weekend.
