Then you have Baltimore Jack who's hiked the trail 8 times (7 thru-hikes in  
a row) and carries *atleast* 55 lbs unless he's slacking, then it's only about 
 35 lbs!   
 
Word is, he has a bum knee now and has only eeked out 1000 miles or so the  
last few years,   Weight?  Mileage?  Head?
