[at-l] Packing a Platy

Several folks mentioned they carried hydration
systems. I've never imagined that one-quart
Nalgenes could be improved upon, but they do
weigh 4.1 oz each.

So I'm looking at Platypus stuff and wondering:

-- which ones lightest/safest for backpacking
-- one big bag or several small ones?
-- specific combinations (systems) of bags?
-- how to pack them
-- isn't a ruptured bag a disaster?
** or does that never happen?

Not all the Platy products save a lot of weight
(relative to the Nalgenes.) And ISTM, the lighter
they are, the more delicate they will be.

So, what gives? Can you really carry water as
securely as Nalgene in a soft poly bag weighing
1/2 or 1/4 as much? How do you pack it?

Cause, like I say, having one break -- inside my
pack no less, would strike me as a bad bargain
in the quest for lightness.
