Photorescue is pretty popular and works well:

When I had a corrupted card last year (ALL my photos from Jamaica),
and Photorescue didn't work, Data Rescue II worked wonders:

These programs both cost money. For me it was well worth the hundred
bucks to get back the photos from a trip that cost thousands. YMMV.
