Thoughts, prayers, hopes and best wishes are with her. I don't presume to speak for the entire group, but if the kindness and friendship I've experienced since joining have been any indication of the overall sentiment of the group, I believe everyone joins me in hoping for the best for her.

How is this for a quick update!!! Emails from Peter Pan (Timmys hubby Al) about
Timmy's (Cinda's) pancreas removal operation:

2/13 - We flew to Minneapolis via Cincinnati on Saturday. Our flight from
Cincinnati to Minneapolis had been cancelled but they put us on a flight that
got to Minn a couple of hours later. Sunday we spent mostly sleeping. We got
to the hospital at 7:00 on Monday morning. After pre-op Cinda went to the
operating room at 10:20. The surgery lasted 2.5 hours. Following that she was
in the recovery room for another 2 hours. The surgery went very well. As of
Tuesday afternoon her pain has decreased quite a bit but is still significant.
The pain medication does a good job in controlling it. We don’t know how long
we’ll be up here but it will probably be in the range of a week or so.

2/14 - We’ve had some adventures in the past 30 or so hours. Cinda had a low
blood sugar episode yesterday afternoon which resolved quickly. Toward evening
she began having a severe reaction to the IV pain medication. The doctors
decided to change to a different pain medication and the hallucinations cleared
up temporarily. Unfortunately she experienced a similar reaction with severe
hallucinations at 2:00 this morning. At that point the doctors decided that she
had to be off the IV pain medication completely. They prescribed oral
medication but due to foul-up in the pharmacy it took 2 ½ hours to get the pain
medication up to her room. Eventually though they did get the pain back under
control and things are going remarkably well now. She was up and walking
several times today and by the last time Al was struggling to keep up with her!
