Look up and understand "amplitude" before you respond on global
warming. Like the ocean, when the atmosphere has more energy added to it it
creates bigger 'waves'. These waves are bigger troughs and weather patterns and
extremes. Record snows in Alaska due to moisture, warm spells followed by record
lows etc are signs of amplitude - which is a possible sign of global warming.
This is then related to the second data set seen in annual rising global
temperature averages. You have to understand that these things can spell global
warming just as much as heat haves. 80mph winds wiped out 75% of the coastal
trees in Vancouver this past December. That's an agitated atmosphere. In February
Pensacola had a record low of 30* followed three days later by a record high
of 80*. -amplitude -. This December's record warm was followed by record cold.
- Amplitude -.
