I've ridden some of it from the north terminus. There are a few parking lots
near the terminus, but I'm not sure if they would be considered okay for
longish parking.

I would suggest calling Gran Fondo Bicycle Shop: (615) 354.1090. It's
located at 5205 Harding Road, which is only a couple miles from the
terminus. I'll bet they can help you out.
