ok . . . show of hands now: HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE KNOWN THIS FOR YEARS AND
HAVE SUREPTITIOUSLY PEED IN PUBLIC PLACES IN FLOWER BEDS AND PARKS ? ? ?

COME ONE . . . WE KNOW YOU'RE HERE . . .

IF it weren't for the don't pee in public laws, there'd be prettier flowers
and greener grass, and fatter peanuts everywhere . . .

I noticed for the first time in late 2006 a sign at the Springer shelter
urging hikers to pee in the woods and to defecate in the latrines.

This isn't new knowledge, it's forgotten knowledge, and a result of the
Anglo-Saxon aesthetic that prohibits peeing in public places, a rule only in
North America and some, but not all, European countries . . .
