Ugh.  Maybe those women weren't "afraid" or needing some man's
"protection"  Maybe they just didn't want some drunk guy touching them.
Whatta concept. 
Jeeezzz....


There was this guy who came into the bar where a bunch of us were
standing  
around having a beer or two.  He drank his beer and then a few more and
his  
inner child came to the surface and he needed to touch a woman (or
perhaps  
needed a woman's touch)  After several attemps of trying various women
to  find 
one that was willing, he came upon a very pretty woman who came to me
for  
shelter.  Since I was also in need of a woman's touch at the time I gave
her 
protection.  She touched me.  I hugged her.  She was safe in  my arms.
The guy who 
was shut out at that point had another beer.   Then another woman came
into 
the bar and when he approached her she threw her  arms around him and
gave him 
a welcoming hug.  He was very happy.  The  other women in the bar who
had been 
afraid of him no longer needed to be afraid  and they began to enjoy 
themselves.  The woman that I was protecting no  longer needed
protecting and wandered 
off.  The question is:  Was I  being used?  Well, at least I was being
useful.
