[at-l] Hiking and Divorce

Figures. A married woman's place is at home with her husband, not sleeping in the woods with a bunch of strange men like some whore. Spouses, take this as a warning. If your mate wants to separate, whether under the guise of a long hike or whatever, you can bet they won't be sexually faithful. The biological imperative will see to that.

Brings to mind a story I heard about what happened on the AT a few years ago. Seems there was this married woman who developed a "friendship" with a male hiker. It turned into more than a friendship and was no secret on the trail. The non-hiking husband would sometimes visit the wife on the trail, and pretend her lover was just a friend. Other hikers began to despise this cheating wife, and eventually someone ratted her out to her husband. As you can predict, that marriage ended in divorce shortly thereafter.
