[at-l] Goodbye Listers

Hear, hear! Some of my best friends - and best hiking buddies - have come
from this group, but few of us tend to post. My life has taken a lot of
turns since the first time I joined the list in '95, and doing an AT thru
has gone by the wayside, at least for now. But that doesn't mean I can't
wait to hear about yours! All the best for a glorious walk in the woods...

Slim,

Some of us don't speak up until we feel we have something pertinent to say.
That said, this is a list, where the loudest (and often quickest) voices get
heard. Sometimes the message we want to hear is there, lost in the noise.
Further, the deeper, more lasting relationships tend to have an off-list
component built through the years. The few people with whom I will hike,
anytime, anywhere, are seldom noticeably vocal on-list.

You do have my envious best wishes for a happy and fulfilling hike.

Black Wolfe,

Bruce W.
