MY favorite is oatmeal raisin cookies with walnuts. Don't know how to make them
but they are great on the trail, ship well, last a good 4 days while hiking.

Anyone got a good recipe for brownies/bars or cookies that hold up well when
shipped (via Post Office) to a hiker? I have a couple of recipes that I'll
share (as soon as I get home and get the cookbook out), but I'm wondering if
someone else has a recipe that's

1. easy enough to make
2. holds up well when shipped
3. maybe even has ingredients with some sort of bonus nutrition--like nuts or
oatmeal or dried fruit, etc.

Thanks,
Joan
