I stayed at Tillie ' s in 2002 . A lot of us did . I think it was one of the, ' must stays ' at that time . It was first come, first served and you had to sign up for lunch . I was fortunate - I made it ( limited to eight . ) Too , had to do a chore - I cut brambles ( and nicely , too - as John Held , Jr . would have said . . . ) Her husband had been number two , I think , in the Agricultural Department / Dept of the Interior - under James Watt . Remember him ( under Reagan - spelling ? ) Watt a disaster he was . Whoops . Too , her husband had been attempting to re - introduce Elk to the area we heard . Watt fired him we were told - was thought of as a good thing . Original Chestnut country cabin with requisite tin roof ( red . . . )

The doctor (orthopedist) said the MRI showed no tendon tear or rupture, so that's good news. He's prescribed physical therapy, so have an appt with a PT tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. Also, some gentle walking on level ground, and some toe lifts.

Well, if there was supposed to be a message, it only partly worked (header arrived but message didn't). OTOH if it was supposed to be blank, it did work. Welcome to the list new addressed old timer.

When I reached Wood's Hole Hostel, Tillie asked us to do some yard
work. A lady hiker that was doing a lot of yellow blazing arrived
early in the day and chose to run the lawn mower for a couple of
hours. It is one of the many wonderful memories from my 2004 Thru
Hike.
