[at-l] PA Ruck 2009 & new ideas

If you take a look at the Southern Ruck's web site, you will view a full day (Sunday) schedule of slideshows, presentations, good eats and fellowship. We really didn't care what we did as long as we were all together doing it, yet there was a set schedule. 

Here is their 2008 Sunday schedule:

7:45 - 8:30 AM	
Sunrise Service and Devotional-  In Memory of Meredith Emerson.  -In Kleinrath Hall
9:00 - 10:30 AM	
Breakfast-  Southern Style Breakfast- Biscuits and Gravy-In the dining hall
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM	
Tuckertime!  Aspiring thru-hikers bring your packs and get Tucked at the Ruck!  Read the Tale of Friar Tuck.   Includes Q&A on thru-hiking the trail.-In Kleinrath Hall
12:30 - 2:00 PM	Lunch- Leftovers-In the dining hall
2:15 - 3:30 PM	
Edward Abbey: A Voice in the Wilderness- On DVD presented by Wheeew followed by a short discussion.

I remember what a splendid time I had last year at the Southern Ruck staying over on Sunday and leaving Monday morning for home. On that Monday morning of the 07 SoRuck, there were 16 of us that met for breakfast down on the river. 

There are folks at the PA Ruck that do not want to leave early Sunday morning. Some want to stay over until Sunday evening and Monday morning. 

Again, it's just a thought. I do understand that not everyone would be able to stay.
