[at-l] Trans continential routes

I hope I'm not breaking any rules with this question but.......I'm familiar with the the American Discovery Trail but I'm looking for a southern return route from the west coast. Anybody have any ideas? I'm a year and a half away from retirement and my plan is to spend my golden years doing the AT, ADT, PCT and need to get home somehow and am afraid I'll get bored retracing my steps coming back on the ADT. It's not that I like hiking so much, I'm just trying to make it hard for my kids to find me for a loan!
