[at-l] Consensus?

I gave up on "hiking" boots for hiking.  I generaly wear approach shoes for hiking since 2001.  Now deep winter hiking might bring out some boots again.

  Earlier, someone said that they thought old-school boots to be better for those with foot problems. I own a well-broken-in set of Lowa Renegades, but I truly prefer my NB 811s.

  Does anybody else have an opinion?
