[at-l] Greetings from Pipestem

I cannot tell you how much I want to be at the Gathering.  The last 
time I was able to attend was in 2005.  Dartmouth was easy for me to 
get to but PA and WV require multiple days away from my 
responsibilities.  I certainly do miss seeing my hiker friends.

My walk along the lake today was amazing.  The lakes region of NH is 
a peak fall colors.  I heard on NPR that the season should not be 
called Fall it should be called Push because the trees actually 
secrete an enzyme which dissolves the connective tissue holding the 
leaf to the stem of the tree.
