colors. Black wool dye often requires a toxic chromium mordant.
The most inexpensive dark blue, brown and black cotton dyes
are usually sulfur dyes, which have corrosive, highly toxic sulfur
compounds as by-products. Cheap, dark colored cotton is bad."
