My Good Loopernmannen, I hope so hugely that you figure this little deal out, as if it *is* a fasciitis-related irritation, than as it continues to irritate the local bony processes, they will produce more bony cells in response, and you have a self-perpetuating cycle that ends in ferocious bone spurs and shaving of heel spurs and ouchie.
