I don't do much (just some) planting, but I do pick up trash and do trail maintenance regularly.

Any day is a good day to plant something, even if it is just a bulb in a pot to bloom in mid-winter. Arbor Day and Earth Day are just socially correct kicks in the butt to get those who have lost touch with the Earth to go out and reconnect. They are the ecological equivalents of religious holidays that pull lapsed members back into the fold once or twice a year in the hope that the experience will stick.
Plant a tree (or shrub or flower or whatever) whenever the mood strikes. Pick up trash whenever you see it. Do it often. Don't wait for "the day" that is designated. Just do it.

How about helping to clean up a park somewhere?
(That's what I did, yesterday; I work on Wednesday)
Anyway, I think you're confusing Earth Day with Arbor Day... ;-)

is Wednesday. Either plant a tree to help save this planet or move to another.
