A garden is one of the best thing you can do. The rapid growth draws more co2 from the atmosphere and you don't have the trucks hauling tomatoes or peas from California to New York.

I'm having stainless steel staples removed from my gut this morning (gall bladder surgery last Tuesday). I don't know if that counts as good for the environment but it is good for me. I did go out and check on my peas this morning and dug around a bit because they aren't pushing through yet, 10 days after they were planted. Thought maybe the chipmunks had eaten them all again like they did last year but no, they are forming roots. It's just been too dry and cold for them to push through I guess. Will my pea vines grow up to a giant's castle in the sky like Jack's beanstalk so that it counts for Clyde? Not likely, but it will have to do for today. I still get tired easily. I can manage seeds but not trees.
