I just spent that last 15 minutes sitting on the best damned porch swing 
on the planet listening to no less than 3, and possible 5, wood 
thrushes, 2 Brown Thrashers, at least 2 rufous-sided Towhees, a Robin 
and a Catbird trying to see who could sing their song the loudest. Once 
it was determined that the thrush sitting no more than 30 feet from me 
was the winner, they all quieted down to listen to the Whippoorwill's 
song echo from deep in the woods....
