As Doug says you are not going to leach anything out of the bottle if your freeze water in it. Not going to leach out much of anything if you heat the water up. In either case you might compromise the integrity of the bottle.

Well I am no chemist or scientist but it I seem to recall that heat is a 
catalyst and encourages chemical interactions, whereby cold slows it all 
down.....much like age :-( 

So, there are a lot of "new" bottles out there that do not have the 
BPH(?) or anything else that has not been determined to hurt ya!
