I did a hike in Quebec years ago, got caught in the thunderstorm from hell
(not your average thunderstorm, it knocked out power all over the province).
The trail was marked in kilometers. I got into a stretch of blowdown where
it took me 20 minutes to cover 0.1 k. Yes, that's approximately 100 yards
