This is an omnibus bill that "gathers" many bills that have been in the works for years. I don't know that the Bush Administration "supported" it. It didn't pass last year because of a "hold" placed on it by Sen Coburn (Repug of OK). Its not perfect, but its the best chance we've seen in a long time to get some of this stuff passed. I would encourage us'ns to support it.

I am not thinking anything. I am trying hard to inform folks of the truth with out being attacked. Some folks think ALL things Bush should be attacked. Make your own decisions.

So you are thinking the AHS is wrong to want this bill passed?

I am not "Stirring Shit" Please read this bill before signing petition. It was written and promoted by George W. Bush's administration.

Important trail and land protection
legislation. Please take a few minutes to write your congressman.
American Hiking Society needs your help
TODAY to urge the House to
pass the Senate Omnibus Public Land Managment Act (S. 22), an important
bill that will protect and recognize some of the most significant
hiking opportunities and natural resources in America. Two
weeks ago, this bill passed by a comfortable margin in the Senate, but
the House will be a greater challenge. In fact, if this legislation
receives a single amendment, no matter how apparently well-intentioned,
it would be effectively "killed," and years of hard work, compromise,
and thousands of miles of trail could suffer. Without making your
voice heard, this bill could "die" in the House and never become law.
