Mary,

I have to say that while I appreciate your congratulations, it isn't without some sadness that I now begin to move along.  The one I love and I just can't go on the way we have.  No, I was not married to him...unfortunately.  He and I never really got a chance to see what our relationship would have been like.  For the past couple of years I've had a lot... a TON.. of crap going on in my life.  He came into it when things were really just starting off.

He has been my rock for the past two years.  Only... I allowed things to have an effect on us that I never should have.  Oh, I realize that while it takes two to make a relationship and two to break a relationship... I was the one at the majority of fault.

Being that he was a hiker that thruhiked in '06, we shared many things in common.  It was trail magic that brought us together.  I had hoped someday that he and I would have gotten a chance to thru the AT together.

While I am only on the dating scene for companionship, I do think it will be a long while before anyone will ever be able to fill his hiking boots.  There's just something to be said about being in love with a hiker...especially him.
