[at-l] 'Spunky' hiker dies at 92

[Charles Davidson]

I met Spunky on the Long Trail in 2001. She was hiking the LT as a warm up for the AT. It seems like I met her one other time but it has not come back to me yet. That year we also met Rock Dancer, Mama Lipton and Flatlander too.

Steve,

I spoke to this woman via phone last year. 

She wanted to become a lifetime member of ALDHA and had mailed us a check...I couldn't wait to mail her the Lifetime Member laminated card. 

She mailed US a thank you card! Can you believe it?  

I phoned to thank her using the membership as an excuse, but really I just wanted to connect with her because of her history in the AT Community. 

Note the Red Hat. I love it.
