I lived in those volumes for a while in college  :  )
The trail has changed, the gear has changed, but the gist of those stories
is experiences, which is what hiking is all about <g>.

What little I can find James R Hare also had a medical book printed in 1996,
so maybe our resident Earthworm can use her library skills to tell us more.
It would be really cool to get him to a Gathering!
