[at-l] Silk long undies, bear scat, and hot buttered rum

Little backpack I did over MLK weekend could have used another night time layer on the bottoms (yes, even in Florida).? Landsend now?has silk long underwear on sale for $12.95 top or bottom.

Pros and cons for silk long underwear?

Incidentally, the backpack was 14 miles in the Ocala National Forest.? We counted 27 piles of bear scat and about 12 hikers (not in the scat).

Second incidentally, the BEST cold weather drink on a dinky little cold weather backpack is hot buttered rum--and it's relatively lightweight if you've got water anyway.? At home, mix together some butter, some brown sugar, and a little nutmeg. At campsite, boil a cup of water.? Stir in the butter/sugar mixture.? Add a shot of dark rum.? Enjoy.
