That makes sense; I guess they're trying to avoid those matches that used to go on forever.

  I think (and my memory may be a bit foggy like that day at Beauty Spot 
  (see - trail related)), that if a set is tied at 5-5, they will play two 
  more games minimum.  If one player wins both, he wins 7-5.  If they 
  split, and the score is 6-6, then the new rules kick in and the next 
  game is winner take all.
