Bug nets are a good idea for a trip to Isle Royale; I sailed my li'l sloop there after Labor Day a few years back and got bitten by a number of those pesky black flies... :-(

Subject: [at-l] Bug nets
After doing some more reading, I think I'm going to get a bug net (the kind to protect my head) for my mid-August trip to Isle Royale. I'll be doing at least a one-night backpack there.
My first thought is to get one with a brimmed hat so that the net stands away from my face and neck. I don't presently own a suitable brimmed hat to use one of those thingies that are just a bug net with a drawstring. But maybe that's not the primary concern with a bug net? Cheap would be good too.
Anyone who's used one have any advice?
Thanks,
Joan
