And Emma Gatewood was mistakenly described as "The First Female Thru-Hiker",
although she was perhaps the first *solo* female thru-hiker. I suppose that
this isn't one of the things that Emma, Dorothy Laker, and Peace Pilgrim
spend a lot of time arguing about.
