Me too, none of them in the middle east right now. Later, I can imagine it as a real tourist draw, but that'll be a *long* time.

One would think that no matter how popular the area may be that when neighboring areas to a chosen hiking route may be volatile a hiker should maybe come back to that area some other time to hike? I mean... there are so many trails out there just begging to be hiked. Why hike so close to that kind of danger?
I'd much rather face down an ole bee stung bear or rattler any day than look down the barrel of a gun!
I know that there are places that I would give almost anything to hike. I just think sometimes folks are a bit foolish.
