### I'd recognize that most while food/fuel/lodging might be really expensive out there, household things like blue tarps or power converters or plastic dishwashing pans are going to be pretty much the same price. I'd look minimize expense, minimize packing list, minimize unused gear, by buying these other items along the way, as it becomes plain that your current trip style has evolved to use them. I'd pack the sleeping bag and the toothbrush (and that favorite CoolMax shirt), and leave the rest to be steered by necessity, picked up and minimized along the way.
