Our charge (think parish, except Methodist) has a community garden
with work/pay shares, and one of our pastors is the upstate chairman
for The Society Of St. Andrew, which gleans and gives the food to
local food banks/pantries. Is that anything similar? We picked 2,500
lbs of apples last week to give away. The leader is a stern, bossy,
wonderful little angel. She's my hero.
