I adoped the not touching gorp from several hiking friends.

They swear by it and I believe in it too...but I apply it to all food now. No exceptions.

You don't know where the hands have been or the last time washed. 

I will share food. I will drop it into your bowl or hand without either of us touching it. 

It was followed this past weekend and it works.
