[at-l] what *IS* the risk of water borne pathology?

I wonder if you were using too much and it was killing your internal microbes and upsetting that balance?

  FWIW aqua mira started making me sick after a while.  I would love to  
  be able to use it but it gives me stomach cramps and the runs.  My  
  current options are iodine (and then some vitamin c to kill the  
  taste), filtering, or no treatment at all.  I really like the Platypus  
  filter but it's a little bit heavy.  And no good for freezing  
  temperatures of course.
