Hi Nicole,
Welcome to at-l :) Almost everyone here has done at least one through-hike,
some as recently as this year, some longer ago than it is healthy to be able
to remember. Probably the best way to get specific advice is to ask specific
questions, as in, which direction is it best to start hiking, or what time
of year, or, are shoes really neccesary, or, how much cheese can the average
person who formerly hated cheese eat after hiking 15 miles, or, well, you
get the idea :)
