You know, that's very true, Nino.
Ryan's birthday has had quite an impact pn my life too.

If not for Ryan's birthday, I'd have never met Clyde, David and Hot Dog on
the Stop Smoking Hike.
I'd surely never have hiked the Long Trail with Clyde.

If I'd never hiked the Long Trail with Clyde, I'd surely never have written
a book about hiking the Long Trail with the very quotable Clyde.

I'f not for Ryan's birthday, I'd never have had the best editress in the
world, Nina Mom-to-be Waterfall Sheltowee Rogers, take her lash to me for
months and months of marathon editing sessions  ("No, no, PLEASE! NOT
ANOTHER REWRITE! IT's the 14th time... aaaAAAAAGGGH!"))

And, if not for Ryan's birthday, would "Felix" even exist?
Think about it.

I'm grateful for the twinkle in your parents eyes, Ryan.
Let them eat cake too.
