wow, is Appalachian Outfitters in Greenville still in operation?  Sounds like a pretty sad outfit..

  As someone who has used them both, I say don't waste your money. Last
  year's model of Precip jacket and pants can be had for not a lot more
  than Frog Toggs.

  I tried the yellow O2 wear in '04. The jacket ripped the first day I
  wore it. The retailer laughed when I tried to return the set, saying
  that "I should have known it was cheap crap from the price." of course
  they--Appalachian Outfitters, Greenville, SC--thought enough of them
  to have their name embroidered on them and have one wall full of them.
  Stupid move on their part. I've spent a small fortune on gear since
  then; none with them.

  The FT set was a little better, but quickly pilled up. It eventually
  lost its water resistance as well.

  Niether of these is really made for hiking. More like emergency
  rainwear for hunters and fishermen.
