Yuppy clothes? Maybe a few, because they sell. But good tech gear too. If you Only sell to backpackers you go out of business.  
You are entitled to your opinion, but It doesn't pay to be bitter frank. It puts frown lines in your face. LOL
AO is a store that is surviving the bad economy and prospering. A while back people asked for cheaper, lighter rain gear. They got what they asked for, and got what they paid for (cheaper price by a cheaper company). Doesn't pay to go cheap, unless you have duct tape for repairs. Ask  Shoe & Wench about the holes in their rain gear.  I used Marmot precip (Marmot just gave me a free new jacket after 15 years). Gonna take it backpacking next month up in the Mount Rogers area. YMMV.
