  Hmmmm... That was before my time at AO. Sounds like a totally different Jonathan than the one I now know. I'd be mad too. Maybe he got wiser... With my help. :-)  I've seen people yell at him for telling them they needed to rethink their gear for a thruhike (I agreed with him), And yell at him for suggesting other than North Face. After all, all their friends have one! LOL!
  For now I will continue to take my Precip and mainly use it around camp, or for a wind layer. Or to keep the heat in. I'm mellow... I follow my own path...

  something, and the sales person will say "you don't want that. It
  won't do what you need it to." Jonathan was really happy to sell me a
  lot of stuff. He just wasn't happy to stand behind what he sold.

  You have to make a living. I get that. I love you and you know that.
  You just work for someone that I absolutely can not respect. I don't
  even disrespect you for that. I will, however, warn people away from
  that store every chance I get. All I asked for was a 1/2 store credit
  for something that was such crap that it shouldn't have been in the
  store. Don't make fun of people for buying crap if it's crap with your
  logo on it!

  Also, I said yuppy store, not yuppy clothes. You know, the "lifestyle"
  folks that think TNF is the good stuff. That's his niche and he's
  welcome to it.

  Sunrift sells to serious outdoors people. That's what they do. I mean.
  the Lifestyle folks are welcome, because, you know, everyone needs a
  250.00 piece of gear to wear to the mall, right?
