The coldest I have ever been was a couple of years ago just before the ruck. I was hiking a coupla days and ended up one night at Blue Mtn. Shelter. We don't have much call for warm hats here in Florida, but Rockdancer sent me one for hiking. When I got to the shelter there was a guy in his sleeping bag with all his clothes on. I quickly got into mine and we shot the breeze until we went to sleep. I was toasty with what I called my Rockdancer hat, on. The next morning it was coooooold. The guy that was there wanted to know where he could get him one of them Rockdancer hats. He had the same temp rated bag as me and he frooze to death. We walked to unicoi gap and he gave me a ride to my Jeep. I give him my hat as I was leaving. He couldn't believe it. Rockdancer gave me another 2 days later at the ruck.

What do you mean by "been out in"? If camping, mine was this past

winter in NY with Sundown. Right at zero two nights

On my thru-hike, it was down around 5.

If you mean just 'out it'...mine was 30 below here at home some years

back. Beautiful, crunchy, clear night....
